Xavier Aptitude Test is an MBA entrance exam that is conducted on a national level to facilitate the admission process to Top B-Schools like XLRI Jamshedpur and other Xavier Associate Management Institutes and over 120 other B-schools offering post-graduate management programs all across India.

XAT is known to be a very highly competitive and valued management entrance exam that is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur, the scores of which is accepted in more than 120 B-Schools all across the country. This exam will be held on January 3, 2016.

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. The students completing their final exam by June 10, 2016 may also apply for the exam. Candidates belonging to NRI and foreign may apply through GMAT score except Dubai and Kathmandu.

The application form for XAT 2016 was made available from September 4th 2015. After having filled the application form the candidates are also required to make the payment for the examination fee via Cash, Net Banking, Demand Draft, Credit Card or Debit Card. the deadline for the submission of the application is 30th November to 2015.

XAT 2016 will be paper-pencil based exam with duration of 3 ½ hours which will consist of two different papers and each part is divided into 5 sections. The first paper will have all objective questions which shall have 3 sections that are quantitative ability, English language and logical reasoning, decision making. To attempt the first part of the paper the candidate will have 180 minutes. The second part of the paper consists of questions that are partly subjective and partly objective with 2 sections that are general knowledge and essay writing. The candidate will get 30 minutes to attempt the second part of the XAT 2016 paper.

The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their XAT 2016 score for the admission into various management programs offered by XLRI Jamshedpur and 120 other B-Schools all over India which will also be based on the individual cutoffs provided by the colleges. This process is followed by the Group Discussions, Personal Interviews and other rounds which depends on the selection criteria of different B-Schools after which final offer is made to the selected candidates.

The Admit Card for XAT 2015 can be downloaded from the official website from December 20, 2015 to December 31, 2015. The admit card will contain the information regarding candidates’ personal information, reporting time for the examination, exam center and other examination related information.

XLRI Jamshedpur and other Xavier Associate Management Institutes and over 120 other B-schools will accept the XAT 2016 scores for the admission process of various management courses which will also depend upon the individual cutoff issued by the B-School.

INR 1500 is the fee for appearing in the examination for all candidates.
