The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline and must have also obtained an aggregate of not less than 50% marks. The students pursuing graduation and are in the final year may also apply to appear in the exam. SC/ST candidates should have an aggregate of not less than 45% marks

To start with the application procedure, the candidates have to login to the NMIMS website. The next step includes the scheduling of the NMAT 2015 exam followed by its retakes. A gap of 15 days between 2 NMATS schedules must be there. 

The NMAT is a computer based exam, the question paper of which consists of multiple choice objective questions. The total time given to the candidates is 120 minutes and a total of 120 questions are present in the question paper which belong to 3 different sections that are quantitative ability, language skills and logical reasoning. This paper does not have negative marking system.

The shortlisting of candidates takes place on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the NMAT exam. The shortlisted candidates will be called in for the next rounds which are Group discussions and Personal interviews.
