The Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) conducts a state level examination every year to select candidates for the various prost graduate management programs being offered by various management institutes in Karnataka.

KMAT is a state level post graduate level management exam that is conducted in the state of Karnataka. The aspirants for the courses like MBA, MCA or PGDM must apply to appear for this exam to join the selection process of various B-Schools. Aspirants from Kerala can also appear for KMAT exam. Selections for about 10000 seats are made by using the KMAT scores.

The aspiring candidates for KMAT exam must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University and must also have obtained an aggregate of not less than 50% marks.

Over 169 member institutions that are a part of the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) and are also affiliated to various Universities in Karnataka use the KMAT score for the selection process of various post graduate management courses.
