The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Medical (MH CET MEDICAL) is a state level entrance examination to facilitate the admission process for the undergraduate courses which is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) in the state of Maharashtra. The selection of candidates for about 3010 MBBS and BDS seats will be done through this examination.

The aspiring candidates for this examination must have passed X and XII examinations from an institution situated in Maharashtra and must have also studied Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology. The candidates applying for the exam must have the citizenship of India (Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Non Resident Indian (NRI)/ Overseas citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible).The candidates who are studying in XII are also eligible to apply for the examination. The MH CET 2015 Medical exam can only be given by candidates who are born on or after 31st December 1998. 

The question paper of the MH CET Medical exam will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the examination authority. The medium of the question paper will be in English, Marathi and Urdu. The question paper will contain a total of 180 questions and each question carries 4 marks. The candidate will be awarded 4 marks for every right answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The questions will be from three subjects which are Physics, Chemistry and Biology. 

The application form can be filled in through online mode and the payment of the application fee can be done through bank challan/electronic payment gateway/demand draft. The forms will be available to the candidates online from the first week of March 2015.

The admit card will be uploaded on the official website by DMER after processing the application form. Admit cards will not be sent through post..

The declaration of results will most likely to be done in the second week of June 2015. The declaration of results will only be done for the candidates who’ve qualified the GCET entrance exam.

After the declaration of results of the candidates who’ve qualified the entrance exam, a merit list will be published on the basis of the cut off marks. The merit list will specify the ranks of the candidates. The seats for the courses and colleges for the MBBS and BDS programs will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of their ranks.
