The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) conducts a national level entrance exam called the COMEDK UGET Medical exam which aims to facilitate admission procedure for undergraduate level medical courses like MBBS and BDS offered by private medical and dental colleges in Karnataka. The selection of candidates for as many as 2000 medical and dental seats will be done through this test.

The candidates wanting to appear for this examination must have passed XII board examinations and must have also studied Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology. The candidates applying for the exam must have scored an aggregate of not less than 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together as well as individually. The candidates who are studying in XII are also eligible to apply for the examination. The minimum percentage requirement for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC of the Karnataka state is 40%. 

The COMEDK UGET Medical exam will have two papers. One paper will be of Physics and Chemistry taken together for a duration of 2 hours. The second paper will be of Biology and English taken together for a duration of 2 hours. The question paper will consist of 240 multiple choice questions. The candidate will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer and no negative marking will be done. 

To apply for the COMEDK UGET Medical exam, the candidates must first visit the official website, read the instructions carefully and then fill up the application form, which will start form 2nd March 2015. The application can be filled in online mode. The last day for the submission of applications online is 10th April 2015 until 05:00 pm. The candidates must also make the payment for the application fee which can be done through demand draft.

The admit card can be downloaded by candidates from the official website of COMEDK from 24th April 2015. The admit cards for COMEDK UGET Medical exam will not be dispatched at any postal address 

The declaration of the COMEDK UGET 2015 exam will most likely be declared on 4th June 2015. This result will be the basis of preparation of the merit list as well as the final calls for the counselling process. The declaration of the results will only be done for the candidates who’ve qualified the examination. Seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of their ranks in the merit list.
