The Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges of Uttar Pradesh conducts a national level entrance exam called the UPCAT dental to facilitate the admission process for BDS course offered by various private dental colleges across Uttar Pradesh.

The candidates wanting to appear for this examination must have passed XII board examinations and must have also studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates applying for the exam must have scored an aggregate of not less than 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together. The candidates who are studying in XII are also eligible to apply for the examination. The minimum percentage requirement for candidates belonging to the reserved category is 40%. The candidates applying for this examination must also have the citizenship of India.

As per the rankings in the merit list created after the declaration of the UPCAT Dental exam results, the candidates will be called in for counselling as well as allotted the seats in Dental Colleges in the state of Uttar Pradesh. 

The candidates will be tested on four subjects which are Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. The syllabus shall consist of question of HSC level examination. The candidates will be given a total of 3 hours to complete the question paper which will contain 200 questions which will belong to the above mentioned subjects. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer and no negative marking will be done for wrong answer. The breakup for the subjects is given in the table below:

The candidates can get access to the application form for the UPCAT dental exam through offline mode. The candidates must fill the application form correctly and then send it to the Association. The candidates must make the payment for the application form through a Demand Draft.
