The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) conducts a national level entrance examination called the NITTE University Post Graduate Entrance Test (NU PGET) to facilitate the admission process for post graduate level medical and dental courses offered by the NITTE University. The selection of candidates for about 98 medical and dental seats are done through this examination.

The candidates who want to apply for this examination must have a citizenship of India and must also have passed the MBBS/BDS degree from a college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or Dental Council of India (DCI). The candidate must have also completed one year of compulsory rotating internship by 30th April 2015.

K.S. Hegde Medical Academy and A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences will be using the results of this examination to fill the medical seats offered by this college.

The duration of this examination will be 3 hours and the question paper will consist of 200 questions, all of which will be multiple choice questions. The questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the MCI for the bachelor’s degree for the MD/MS candidates and by DCI for the MDS candidates. The breakup for both the exams are given in the tables below.

The candidates interested in appearing for the examination must first visit the official website of the examination authority and fill up the application form and submit it online. The candidates must then make a payment for the application fee which can be done by drawing a demand draft in favor of Nitte University, payable at Mangaluru, to the Entrance Test Cell, Nitte University, Deralakatte, Mangaluru– 575 018 via Speed Post along with a passport size colored photograph and print copy of two Page application form duly signed.

The candidates interested in appearing for the NU PGET must make a payment for the application fee which is INR 3000.

The admit card containing the details of the candidates like their name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions will be sent through post to the candidates.
