The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) conducts a state level entrance exam called the West Bengal Post Graduate Medical/Dental Admission test (WB PG MAT) to facilitate the admission procedure for various post graduate courses which are MD, MS, MDS and various diploma courses offered by medical and dental colleges in West Bengal. WB PG MAT is the exam conducted for the candidates applying for MD and MS programs and WB PG DAT is conducted for the candidates applying for MDS program.

The candidates appearing for the WB PG MAT must have a citizenship of India and must also be a resident/domicile in West Bengal.  The candidates must also have MBBS degree from any University of West Bengal. The candidates must have also completed the rotating internship before 31st March 2015 for 1 year.   

The candidates must visit the online website to fill the application form. The candidates must fill the application from and send a printed application form along with all the relevant documents via registered or post to the admission office. The candidates must also make the payment for the application fee which can be done through online or offline mode.

The admit card for WB PG MAT 2015 and WB PG DAT 2015 containing the details of the candidates like their name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions will be sent through post to the candidates.

The declaration of the results for the WB PG MAT and WB PG DAT will be done on or before 12th February 2015. A merit list will be created on the basis of the marks scored by the students in entrance exam. The declaration of results will be done only for the candidates who’ve qualified the exam. Based on the ranks of the candidates in the merit list, the allotment of seats will be done.
