MGM Institute of Health Sciences conducts a post graduate level entrance examination for admissions to MD and MS courses offered at the two MGM Institute of Medical College located in Navi Mumbai and Aurangabad. The selection of candidates for about 18 MS seats and 60 MD seats are done through this test.

The candidates who want to apply for this examination must have citizenship of India and must also have passed the MBBS from a college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The candidate must have also completed one year of compulsory rotating internship. A permanent registration certificate must also be obtained by the candidates from the MCI.

The application form will be made available to the candidates in online mode which shall start from the second/third week of December 2014. After filling the application form, the candidates must also make a payment for the application fee of INR 5500 which has to be paid in the form of bank challan. 

The duration of this examination will be 3 hours and the question paper will consist of 300 questions, all of which will be multiple choice questions. The questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the MCI for the bachelor’s degree for the MD/MS candidates. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer and no negative marking will be done.

The admit card containing the details of the candidates like their name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions will be available on the official website of the exam conducting authority from second week of January to last week of January, 2015. It shall not be sent through post to the candidates.

The declaration of results will take place in the second week of February 2015 on the official website. A merit list will be created on the basis of the marks scored by the students in entrance exam. The declaration of results will be done only for the candidates who’ve qualified the exam. Based on the ranks of the candidates in the merit list, the allotment of seats will be done.
