The candidates who want to apply for this examination have passed the MBBS/BDS from a college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the Dental Council of India (DCI). The candidate must have also completed one year of compulsory rotating internship. Candidates applying for MEDPET 2015 must have completed their internships by 30th April 2015 and the candidates applying for DENPET 2015 must complete their internships by 31st March 2015. A permanent registration certificate must also be obtained by the candidates applying for MEDPET from the MCI and DCI for the candidates applying for DENPET.

The application form will be made available for both MEDPET 2015 and DENPET 2015 to the candidates in online mode. After filling the application form, the candidates must also make a payment for the application fee.

The duration of this examination will be 3 hours and the question papers (MEDPET and DENPET) will consist of 200 questions, all of which will be multiple choice questions. The questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the MCI for the bachelor’s degree for the MD/MS candidates and by DCI for the MDS candidates. The candidates will be awarded 3 marks for every right answer and no negative marking will be done.

The admit card for MEDPET 2015 and DENPET 2015, containing the details of the candidates like their name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions will be available on the official website of the exam conducting authority. It shall not be sent through post to the candidates.

The declaration of results for MEDPET 2015 and DENPET 2015 will take place on the official website. A merit list will created on the basis of the marks scored by the students in entrance exam. The declaration of results will be done only for the candidates who’ve qualified the exam. Based on the ranks of the candidates in the merit list, the allotment of seats will be done.
