All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination is a national level entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Education (NBE) for admissions to post graduate medical programs which are MD/MS and other diploma courses.

The candidates who want to apply for this examination must have a citizenship of India and must also have passed the MBBS from a college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The candidate must have also completed one year of compulsory rotating internship. A permanent/provisional registration certificate must also be obtained by the candidates from the MCI or any State Medical council.

The questions in the AIPGMEE exam will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the Graduate Medical Education Regulation. This exam will be a computer based test. The examination will consist of 300 questions, all of which will be multiple choice questions. The questions will be based on the subjects taught during the MBBS course. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer and no negative marking will be done.

The application form for the AIPGMEE will be made available to the candidates in online mode which has started from 29th August 2014. After filling the application form, the candidates must also make a payment for the application fee of INR 3750 which can be paid through the payment gateway using a credit card or a debit card. The application fee for general and OBC candidates is INR 3750 and for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PWD categories, the application fee is INR 2750. The submission of the application form has to be done online.

The admit card containing the details of the candidates like their name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions will be available on the official website of the exam conducting authority from a week before the conduction of AIPGMEE 2015 exam. 

The declaration of results was done on 15th January 2015 on the official website. A merit list will be created on the basis of the marks scored by the students in entrance exam. The declaration of results will be done only for the candidates who’ve qualified the exam. Based on the ranks of the candidates in the merit list, the allotment of seats will be done. The qualifying marks for the candidates belonging to the General category is 50% while the qualifying marks for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC categories is 40%.
