Dr. NTR University Of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh, conducts a state level entrance called the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test (AP PG MET) for the admission to post graduate level courses such as MD, MS and Diploma programs offered by about 29 medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The selection of candidates for about 2400 seats in MD, MS and Diploma programs are done through with this test.

The candidates who want to apply for this examination have passed the MBBS/BDS from a college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or from a college affiliated to Dr. NTR UHS in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The candidate must have also completed one year of compulsory rotating internship before 31st March 2015.

The application form will be available to the candidates on the official website and candidates must fill the basic details such as academic details, internship details and other personal details in the form and submit it online. The applications can only be submitted through online mode. The candidates must also make the payment for the application fee of INR 3000 (for candidates belonging to the unreserved category) and INR 2700 (for candidates belonging to the reserved categories). The payment of the fee can be done through Net Banking, Credit card or Debit Card. A printed application from along with all the other required documents must be sent to the Convener, PG Admissions Committee, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences either by post or in person on or before February 20, 2015.

The duration of this exam is 3 hours and the question paper contains a total of 200 questions, all of which will be multiple choice questions. The questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the examination conducting authority. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer and no negative marking scheme will be followed in this exam.

The admit card containing the details of the candidates like their name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions will be available on the official website of the exam conducting authority. The issuing of admit cards will only be done for the candidates whose application is found complete. The candidates will not be sent the admit cards through post.

The declaration of the results is scheduled to be done on 7th March 2015. The declaration of results will be done only for the candidates who’ve qualified the examination. The candidates belonging to the unreserved categories must score at least 50% marks to be qualified and the candidates belonging to the reserved categories must score more than 40% marks to qualify
