A national level entrance exam is conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) called the AIIMS Nursing entrance examination for the admissions to B.Sc. Nursing course offered by it.

The candidates must have a citizenship of India and must have also passed higher secondary level examinations with an aggregate of not less than 55% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories the minimum marks is 50%). If the candidates are applying for paramedical course the candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics and the candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories must score a minimum of 45% marks in the above mentioned subjects.

The AIIMS Nursing entrance exam question paper will comprise of four parts. The medium of language of the question paper will be English only. The questions will be essentially from four basic subjects which are Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge. The whole paper will carry 100 marks.
