A national level examination is conducted by the Association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges of Maharashtra (AMUPMDC), for the admission to under graduate level medical and dental courses offered by the unaided Private medical and dental colleges of Maharashtra called the ASSO-CET. The selection of candidates for about 1540 Dental seats and 920 MBBS seats is done through this test.

To facilitate the admission procedure for MBBS and BDS courses offered by the Association of Management of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges (AMUPMDC), Maharashtra, the unaided Private medical and dental colleges of Maharashtra conduct the ASSO-CET examination.

The candidates wanting to appear for this examination must have passed XII board examinations and must have also studied Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology. The candidates applying for the exam must have scored an aggregate of not less than 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together (the candidates belonging to the reserved category must score more than 40% marks). The candidates who are studying in XII are also eligible to apply for the examination. The candidates must have a citizenship of India and must be born on or before 31st December 1997.

The question paper of the ASSO-CET 2015 exam will contain a total of 200 questions which will essentially be from three subjects which are Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The difficulty of the examination will be of higher secondary level. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer and no negative marking will be done for wrong answer. There will be 50 questions from Physics, 50 from Chemistry and 100 from Biology.

The application forms for the ASSO-CET 2015 exam will be available online. The candidates must visit the official website to fill the application form and submit it online and also make the payment for the application fee. The applications must be submitted latest by the month of April.

The admit card containing the details of the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center etc. will be uploaded online. The candidates must visit the official website to download their admit cards which shall be available from the month of May 2015.

The declaration of results will most likely be done in the month of June 2015.

The selection process will depend upon the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam. The shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of the merit list. The shortlisted candidates will be called in for the counseling process.
