The Banaras Hindu University offers post graduate medical programs for which it conducts an entrance exam called the Banaras Hindu University Post Graduate Medical Exam (BHU PG Medical). The selection of candidates for 40 post graduate medical seats will be done through this entrance exam.

The candidates applying for this examination must have completed graduation in medical field from a college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The candidates must also have completed their compulsory internship. The candidates who are currently doing their internship can also apply.

To fill the application form the candidates must visit the official website. The application form will only be available online. The application form will be available from the month of February 2015. The last date for the submission of the application form will be mid-week of July. The candidates must also make the payment for the application fee which is INR 1600 for the candidates belonging to the unreserved category and INR 1000 for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories.

The BHU PG Medical exam will be conducted in both online as well as offline modes. The candidate has the option to choose between the online and the offline mode. The question paper will have multiple choice questions. The candidates will have to choose the right answer from the given options. 

The admit card containing the details like candidate’s name, roll number, test center and other exam related information, will be available to download on the official website.

The selection of candidates will be based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam and the shortlisted candidates will be called in for the personal interview process. The candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their whole performance in the entrance exam as well as the personal interview.
