The Christian Medical College, Vellore, offers undergraduate level medical program for which it conducts an entrance exam. The college offers about 100 MBBS seats for which candidates are selected through the CMC Vellore MBBS Entrance Exam every year.

The candidates applying for the CMC Vellore MBBS Entrance exam must have passed higher secondary examinations from the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other Board. The candidates must have also studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects in the higher secondary level. A minimum aggregate of not less than 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together) must be scored by the candidates in the board exams. The candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2015 to appear for the examination.
The CMC Vellore MBBS Entrance exam is conducted in two stages which are stage I and stage II. Stage I comprises of a computer based test, with questions coming from three subjects which are Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The questions will be multiple choice questions and 60 questions will be asked from each subject. The medium of the question paper will only be in English. Stage II of the examination will access the candidate’s knowledge, accuracy and speed in current affairs. This stage will comprise of General Ability questions. This stage will have two separate sections with a total of 60 questions in each section. The candidates will have to answer Section one consisting of 60 questions in 50 minutes and Section two consisting of 60 questions in 20 minutes. Negative marking will not be done for wrong answers.
The Application procedure for the CMC Vellore will be available online. The candidates must visit the official website to fill the application form (which shall be made available from the last week of February 2015) and submit it online on or before the last date of submission. The candidates must also make the payment of INR 800 for the application form which can be done through Demand draft, Bank Challan, Credit Card or Debit Card.
The admit card can be downloaded by candidates from the official website. The admit card containing the details of the candidates like their name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions, will be made available on the website from 15 days before the examination for the candidates to download. The admit cards will not be sent through post.
