The Association of Private Dental and Medical Colleges of Madhya Pradesh, conducts a national level entrance exam called the Dental and Medical Admission Test (DMAT) for the admissions to undergraduate courses such as MBBS, BDS and Nursing offered by various Medical and Dental Colleges across the state of Madhya Pradesh.
For the various health sciences courses offered by the Medical and Dental colleges located in Madhya Pradesh, a national level test is conducted by The Association of Private Dental and Medical Colleges of Madhya Pradesh, called DMAT.

The aspiring candidates for this examination must have a citizenship of India and must have passed XII board examinations and must have also studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates applying for the exam must have scored an aggregate of not less than 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (the candidates belonging to the reserved categories must have scored a minimum of 40% marks). The candidates who are studying in XII are also eligible to apply for the examination.
The selection process will totally depend upon the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam. The shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of the merit list. The shortlisted candidates will be called in for the counseling process.
The question paper of the DMAT 2015 exam will contain a total of 200 questions which will essentially be from three subjects which are Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The difficulty of examination will be of higher secondary level. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours. There will be 50 questions from Physics, 50 from Chemistry and 100 from Biology (50 each from Botany and Zoology). The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer and Negative marking scheme will not be followed in this examination.
The candidates must visit the official website to obtain the application form for the DMAT entrance exam. The candidates must download the application form and after filling the form, they must send it to the Association along with a Demand Draft of INR 750 drawn in favour of APDMC for the application fee.
The admit card containing the details of the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center etc. will be uploaded online. The candidates must visit the official website to download their admit cards which shall be made available from the third week of June 2015 (tentative).
