The HIHT University conducts a national level entrance exam called the HIHT University Pre Medical Entrance Exam (HIHT PMEE) to facilitate the admission process to the MBBS course offered by it.
The HIHT University offers MBBS course for which it conducts a national level entrance exam to select suitable candidates. 30% of the total seats offered here are reserved for the students of the state of Uttarakhand.

The candidates applying for HIHT PMEE exam must have passed higher secondary examinations from a recognized board. The candidates must have also studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects in the higher secondary level and must have scored an aggregate of not less than 60% marks in the above mentioned subjects (50% for candidates belonging to the reserved categories). The candidates should also score a minimum of 50% in all subjects individually (40% for candidates belonging to the reserved categories). The candidates appearing for the HIHT PMEE exam should have attained 17 years of age and must not be older than 25 years as on 31st December 2015.
The HIHT PMEE exam will be of the duration of 180 minutes. The question paper will consist of a total of 200 multiple choice questions. The questions will be from three subjects which are Physics, Chemistry and Biology. There will be 40 questions from Physics, 60 from Chemistry and 100 from Biology. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer and no negative marking will be done for wrong answers. The questions will basically be based on the syllabus prescribed at the higher secondary level examinations.
The selection of the candidates will be done by the HIHT University on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam. The University will shortlist the candidates on the basis of their scores and start with the counseling and allotment of seats for the MBBS course offered by it.
The candidates can get the forms directly either from the University through the cash payment or a demand draft or from the official website. The application forms can be submitted online as well as offline. After filling the application forms, the candidates must send it to the HIHT University by post or submit it online. The payment for the application form can be done through online mode (credit card, debit card or net banking). The application form for the HIHT PMEE exam will cost INR 2000.
The admit cards for the eligible candidates will be uploaded on the official website. The admit cards will not be sent through post. The admit cards will be available from 20th May 2015 for the eligible candidates.
