The Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test is conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JAKBOPEE) to facilitate the admission process to various health sciences course like MBBS and BDS offered at the government and private run medical colleges located in Jammu and Kashmir.
The selection of candidates for about 499 MBBS seats and 200 BDS seats will be done through this test. The examination will be conducted on 30th and 31st May 2015. The application forms have been made available since 17th February 2015 and will continue till 11th March 2015.

The candidates applying for JK CET exam must have passed higher secondary examinations from a recognized statutory board. The candidates must have also studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects in the higher secondary level and must have scored an aggregate of not less than 50% marks in the above mentioned subjects. The candidates appearing for this examination must be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir State as defined in Section 6 of the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir. The candidates appearing for the JK CET should have attained 17 years of age as on 31st December 2015.
The JK CET examination will have two papers. The first paper (Paper A) will contain questions from Physics and Chemistry and the second paper (Paper B) will contain questions from Biology. There will be a total of 60 questions from each subject. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be done for the wrong answer. The questions will be of multiple choice types.
The application forms for the JK CET 2015 exam will be available in both online as well as offline mode. The candidates can get the online applications from 17th February 2015.
