The Jharkhand Post Graduate Entrance Exam is a state level entrance examination conducted Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) to facilitate the admission process to the post graduate medical programs offered by the government medical colleges in the state of Jharkhand.

The selection of candidates for about 50% state quota seats for the post graduate medical courses offered at the colleges in the state of Jharkhand will be based on the Jharkhand Post Graduate Entrance Test.

The candidates who want to apply for this examination must have passed the MBBS degree from a medical college/University located in Jharkhand and recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The candidates applying for the MD/MS programs must have also completed one year of compulsory rotating internship. The candidates must also have a permanent registration from the MCI or Bihar/Jharkhand State Medical council. There is no bar on the upper age limit.

The duration of the Jharkhand Post Graduate Entrance Test will be 3 hours and 15 minutes. The question paper will have a total of 200 questions, all of which will be multiple choice questions. The negative marking scheme will not be applied in this examination. The questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed for MBBS. The application forms for the Jharkhand Post Graduate Entrance Test will be available online. The application process will be online as well. The candidates must fill the application form and submit it online. The registration will cost INR 4250 (for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories, the registration fee is INR 2750).

The admit card can be downloaded by candidates from the official website. The admit cards will be available containing the details of the candidates like their name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions, will be made available on the website.

A merit list will be created on the basis of the scores secured by the candidates in the entrance exam. The ranks obtained by the candidates will be the basis on which the candidates will be called for the counseling process and the final allotment of seats.
