The candidates applying for MGDCH JET exam must have passed higher secondary examinations from a recognized board. The candidates must have also studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) as compulsory subjects in the higher secondary level and must have scored an aggregate of not less than 50% marks in the above mentioned subjects. The candidates appearing for the MGDCH JET exam should have attained 17 years of age as on 31st December 2015.

The MGDCH JET question papers will have objective type multiple choice questions. The questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed at the higher secondary level examinations. There will be two papers. The first paper will contain questions form Physical Science while the second Paper will contain questions from Biology.

The candidates must fill the application forms very carefully. The application forms can be obtained from the administrative offices of the University. The candidates can send a demand draft of INR 1550 to obtain the application form through post or pay INR 1500 in cash at the cash counters inside the college to get the application form in hand (the candidates belonging to the reserved categories must only pay INR 450, if purchasing the form from the cash counters or draw a DD of INR 500, if purchasing the form through post).
