Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) offers post graduate multi-specialty medical courses for which it conducts a state level entrance examination called the Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences Entrance Test (NIMSET). The selection of the candidates for the admissions to MD/MS multi-specialty courses is done through this test.

The candidates who wish to apply for this examination must have passed MBBS from a college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The candidate must have also completed one year of compulsory rotating internship as on 31st March 2015. A registration from the Medical Council of India is also mandatory for the candidates to be considered eligible for the NIMSET exam.
The NIMSET exam will have multiple choice questions which will be based on the MBBS standards of the Universities in Andhra Pradesh. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The examination will consist of a total of 150 questions which have to be attempted in 150 minutes. The examination will be conducted on 15th February 2015.
To apply online for the NIMSET examination, the candidates must go through the official website. After completing the form the candidates must submit it online as well as send a hard copy to the admissions office of the institution.
The admit card can be downloaded by candidates from the official website. The admit cards will be available containing the details of the candidates like their name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions, will be made available on the website.
The declaration of results will be done in the month of March 2015. A merit list will be created on the basis of the scores secured by the candidates in the entrance exam. The ranks obtained by the candidates will be the basis on which the candidates will be called for the counseling process and the final allotment of seats.
