The Nitte University Undergraduate Entrance Exam (NUUGET) is conducted by the Nitte University to facilitate the admission process to the undergraduate health sciences courses that are MBBS and BDS. Students selected for the MBBS and BDS courses through this entrance exam are allotted seats in K.S. Hegde Medical Academy and A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences.


The selection of candidates for about 150 MBBS seats and 100 BDS seats will be done through the NUUGET exam. This national level entrance exam is conducted by the Nitte University.

The candidates applying for NUUGET exam must have passed higher secondary examinations from a recognized Board. The candidates must have also studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects in the higher secondary level. A minimum aggregate of not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% for SC/ST) must be scored by the candidates in the board exams.  The candidates appearing for this examination must have a citizenship of India and must also have attained 17 years of age as on 31st December 2015.

The duration of the NUUGET exam will be 3 hours. The NUUGET exam question paper will consist of a total of 180 questions which will be from subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer and there will be no negative marking.

The candidates must visit the official website to obtain the application form for the NUUGET entrance exam which will start from 27th February 2015. The candidates must download the application form and after filling the form, they must send it to the address mentioned below, along with a Demand Draft of INR 1000 drawn in favour of Nitte University payable at Mangalore for the application fee.
