To select suitable candidates for the undergraduate level courses like MBBS, BDS, BHMS and BAMS offered by various private medical colleges in Punjab, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences conducts an entrance examination called the Punjab Medical Entrance Test (PMET).
To screen the applicants for the health sciences courses offered by various private medical colleges located in the state of Punjab, PMET is conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.

The candidates applying for PMET exam must have passed higher secondary examinations from Punjab. The candidates must have also studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects in the higher secondary level. The candidates appearing for this examination must be a domicile of Punjab and must also have attained 17 years of age as on 31st December 2015.
The duration of the PMET exam will be 150 minutes. The PMET exam question paper will consist of a total of 200 questions which will be from subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed during the higher secondary level examinations. The whole question paper will carry a total of 800 marks.
