The King George’s Medical University, Lucknow conducts a state level entrance examination to facilitate the admission procedure for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses which is called the Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test (UP-CPMT).
To select suitable candidates for the undergraduate level medical courses like Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) and Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), the King George's Medical University, Lucknow conducts the UP-CPMT exam.

The aspiring candidates for this examination must have passed XII board examinations from a recognized Board. The candidates must have also studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or any elective subject). The candidates who are studying in XII are also eligible to apply for the examination. The candidates applying to appear for the examination must have attained 17 years of age as on 31st December 2015.
The UP-CPMT exam will comprise of two papers each with a total of 100 questions. The subjects from which the questions will be asked are Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. The Paper I will have questions from Physics and Chemistry, 50 questions in each. Paper II will have questions from Botany and Zoology, 50 questions in each. The duration of the whole examination will be 3 hours.
The application form for the UP-CPMT exam will be available offline only. The candidates must purchase the information booklet from designated branches of Central Bank of India. The candidates will have to make a payment of INR 1280 (tentative) to purchase the application form (the candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories will have to pay INR 680 to obtain the application form).
