Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam to fill the posts of Sorting Assistants, Postal Assistants, Data Entry Operators (DEO) and Lower Divisional Clerks (LDC) in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. The exam is conducted in two stages.

Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSL) is a national level examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission for the candidates who wish to pursue their career in governmental sector and who want to grab this opportunity as a future changer. All the talented and skilled aspirants are invited for admitting into the examination stream so as to offer recruitment within the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Date Entry Operators (DEO).

·          Candidates must have passed their XII examination

·         The age of the candidates must in between18 year and 27 years.

·         Reserved category candidates will have age relaxation:

·         SC/ST - 5 years

·         OBC - 3 years

·         PH - 10 years

·         PH + OBC - 13 years

·         PH + SC/ST - 15 years

·         The exam paper will consist of MCQs only. The questions will be set both in English and Hindi for Part-I, III and IV. There would be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

·         Those who qualify the written test will be called for typing test.

For written exam, the paper will be Objective based, and will be constructed in both the medium, i.e. English & Hindi for part I, III & IV.

Application forms can be filled via offline and online mode.

Online Mode

·         Log on to the official website and select the admission link provided.

·         Fill the form appropriately with necessary details, scan the documents, signature and passport size photograph and upload them in accordance with the criteria.

·         The form must be submitted duly within the given time period and application fees must be paid.

Offline Mode:

·         If applying through offline mode, candidates must direct the necessary documents along with the application to the provided address.

·         Candidates must deposit the fee via “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)”only. CRFS is available at Departmental Post Offices’ counters in all over the country.

Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination Candidates are required to deposit the requisite fee amounting to Rs.100 payable via SBI Challan or through SBI Net Banking. Women candidates and SC, ST, Physically Handicapped and Ex-serviceman applicants are considered under reserved category and are exempted from payment.
