Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) recognizes to be a self-directed agency present in India, who gained autonomy on the command of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Public Sector Banks in the year 1984. In 2011, IBPS announced a new procedure for recruitment, via Common Written Examination (CWE) for selection of Officers in Indian banks on rural platform. The exam is conducted on a national platform, providing a chance to every individual to try their luck.

IBPS conducts common written exam (CWE) for Regional Rural Banks (RRB) nationwide for interested students who wishes to make it to the financial sectors. This is an entrance exam for various posts within several rural banks and filters the qualified candidates for the posts through best means.

Information Technology (IT) Officer

Candidate must have a degree from a recognized state or central university in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. It is desirable that he possesses a certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, and OCP.

One year as an officer in any bank or financial enterprise

Chartered Accountant

A Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Law Officer

A degree from a recognized state or central university in Law or equivalent with an aggregate of 50% marks.

Two years as an advocate or two years’ experience as Law Officer in any bank or financial enterprise

Treasury Manager

Certified Associate (CA) degree from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or incurred a degree of MBA in Finance from a recognized state or central university.

One year as an officer in any bank or financial enterprise

Marketing Officer

MBA in Marketing from a recognized state or central university.

One year as an officer in any bank or financial enterprise

Agricultural Officer

A degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Dairy/Animal Husbandry/Forestry/Veterinary Science/Agricultural Engineering/Fishery from a reputed state or centrally recognized university with an aggregate of 50%.

Two years as an officer in any bank or financial enterprise

Officer Scale III

A degree from a recognized state or central university in any category with an aggregate of 50%.

Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions

·         Applicants must register online for registration.

·         There will be a single mode for registration for both Preliminary and Main examination.

·         Every detail must be filled in the form and picture and signature must be uploaded duly.

·         Fees must be paid online via Debit Cards (Master / Visa / RuPay / Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Mobile Wallet and Cash Card.

·         Form must be submitted and a printout must be taken for future use.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Objective Common Written Test followed by Interview round.
