Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Graduate Level exam once a year to select deserving candidates for the various central government posts. Combined Graduate Level examination is an open competitive written exam for the recruitment of personnel for Grade-B and Grade-C categories posts in various government organizations and ministries departments

SSC CGL is a widely known exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission for filling up several vacancies. Candidates have to clear two dynamic levels so as to grab the opportunity to work within the guidelines of SSC. Here are the enlisted details of the exam and its criteria required to be fulfilled.

Education Qualification

Candidates waiting for final year results or preparing for it are not considered eligible. Candidates must have completed their education before 01.01.2015 and those who have completed their graduation via Distance Education means recognized by IGNOU are eligible. Criteria must be met while applying for SSC CGL 2015 for several posts:

·         For Assistant Posts: - Graduation from any appointed University

·         For SI in CBI: - Graduation degree incurred

·         For Inspector (Central Excise | Preventive Officer | Examiner) Post: - Graduation degree incurred

·         For Inspector (Income Tax | AEO in DoE) Posts:- Graduation degree incurred

·         For Inspector in Divisional Accountant Posts:- Graduation degree incurred

·         For Auditor | Accountant | Junior Accountant Posts:- Graduation degree incurred

·         For Compiler Posts: - Graduation Degree incurred with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as mandatory subject.

·         For Statistical investigator Posts: - Graduation Degree incurred with Statistics as One of the Mainstream Subject OR accomplished Graduation with Mathematics as main subject OR Graduation With Statistics.

Age Criteria

Age limit will be resolved until 01.01.2015. Age Criteria differs for every category and relaxation incurred accordingly:

·         Required Age for Assistant Posts :- Between 20-27 Years

·         Required Age for SI in CBI: - Between 20-25 Posts

·         Rest for All Posts: - Age Between 18-27 Years 

The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in written test and interview. The exam will comprise of 2 stages, which are:

·         CGL Tier I: (Online Objective Exam)

·         CGL Tier II: (Online Objective Type)

A total of Rs.100 is payable for General applicants, and all other categories are exempted from fee payment. Fee is payable via SBI Bank Challan or directly transfer the amount to the SBI Bank account online.

Candidates are provided to apply for SSC CGL through offline and online mode respectively.

Offline:

·         Applicants can download the registration form by logging on tom the official website.

·         All the required fields must be filled accurately.

·         Passport size photo along with necessary documents must be attached accordingly.

·         Then the form must be directed to the given official address.

Online:

·         Candidates must log on tom the official website and fill up the form there directly.

·         Upload the photograph and signature according to size and dimensions.

·         Form must be submitted after paying application fee.

·         A printout must be taken for future use.

The Tier I exam contains a total of 200 MCQs with 200 marks. There would be a negative marking for each incorrect answer. The time duration for the exam is 2 hours.

CGL Tier II Exam Structure:

Those candidates who qualify CGL Tier I exam are eligible to appear for Tier-II examination.  In Tier-II exam the questions are also based on MCQs. It consists of three different papers based upon the category of posts applied for. Candidates are required to appear in two or three papers. Each paper will be of 200 marks.

Paper-I and II are necessary for all the posts and categories. The Paper-III is compulsory only for those candidates who have applied for the Statistical Investigators Group II and Compiler posts. There would be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

    As according to ssc cgl 2015 candidate must pocess their bachelor degree on or before 1 august 2015..then what about it..last date of submission of form was 28 may weather cut off date for degree was given 1august 2015.then what should we do..?

      Previously the date was 1 august of the year. But at present, the SSC has decided to change the date and set it as 1 january of the respective year. so now you should possess a degree on or before 1st january of the respective year. same goes for date of birth.
