Candidates who want to apply for AVPY must be studying in India. Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences, that is, B.Sc. /B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Biotechnology, Neurosciences, Bioinformatics, Marine Biology, Geology, Human Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Materials Science or Environmental Science. Student enrolled in first year of undergraduate program must secure 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD).

·         Duration of exam will be 3 hours (9.30 a.m. To 12.30 p.m.).

·         The answer paper will be an OMR sheet, all the answer should be marked in this sheet.

·         There will be four options for one question.

·         There will be negative marking for wrong answers.

·         For one wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted, and for every right answer you will get 1 mark.

·         In part-II, 2 marks will be given to every right answer and 0.5 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

 Candidate can apply online for AVPY from the official website of AVPY www.KVPY.org.in.

Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website of KVPY www.kvpy.org.in by 15th October 2014.

Result will be declared in the last week of December or first week of January. Candidate can check their results from the official website of KVPY www.kvpy.org.in.
